Ben Gay III has spent more than six decades on commission, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1942, raised in Atlanta ("a Yankee by birth, a Southerner by the grace of God"), and has called California home for about 50 years. He became the youngest buyer in Macy's history at the time, and at 25 he was named president of Holiday Magic, then the largest direct sales company in the world. He was the final mentee of Dr. Napoleon Hill, served as attitude coach for the Apollo 15, 16 and 17 astronauts, and has worked alongside Earl Nightingale, Og Mandino, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, and Zig Ziglar. Ben is the author of The Closers series, known to many as the "sales bibles," and the creator of the concept of sales infiltration. He also taught his People Builders class inside San Quentin. Today he mentors and coaches salespeople and entrepreneurs, passing on the lessons he wrote down from the greats so they're never lost.
